Hey guys, I'm Taylor Roberts! For around 16-17 years I've been riding horses and here recently I've begun traveling with my horse a lot more than I used to, (almost every weekend). So for a while I've been contemplating starting a blog but could never fully commit to the idea. Well here it is!! If you're interested in the horse world or even like seeing pictures of pretty horses, I hope I can get this thing up and running and show you guys some cool areas!!

After re-visiting this campsite for a second time, I will recommend this place to anyone. They have a very nice setup for horses. It is so accommodating. Since I was there two years ago, they have made the campsites much neater and nicer, and every campsite comes with a picnic table and fire pit. The horses can be put in a fully enclosed barn, or you can choose for them to be in a nice paddock, or in a covered stall barn. This year we chose the covered stalls. They were very nice and even came with hooks for water and feed buckets. From our campsite, we could also keep our eye on the horses at all times. Here are some photos of the horse accommodations. As far as the riding goes, we only had about a day and a half to cover some trails, but they were very nice, open trails. The horse could poke along or they were so open that you could lope your horse some. It mainly consists of pines, but somehow it never got boring. The scenery was awesome. I've got some picture...

Oops I did it again !!!

So I realize I've been lacking on the posting lately, but now I'm here to fix that!! I've recently started riding a 3 year old buckskin paint mare that has been for sale at the barn in Troy where I ride. I didn't think I would like her as much as I ended up liking her. She's kind of shy and definitely isn't crazy about hands around her face, but after riding her daily for a bit, she has shown me that with each day she becomes more comfortable with me. Well needless to say my boyfriend decided I needed a new horse for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! I keep a breakaway halter on her in the field or else it takes me about 20 minutes to wrangle a lead rope around her neck... LOL. Her name is Bubbles and she has had training on barrels but has been put in the field for about 6 months. So right now I'm working on getting her handle back on her and playing on the pattern a few days of the week. After she's finished I think she's going to be an awesome mare!! She is sh...

Life got a little busy!

So I know I haven't been doing a good job of keeping my blog updated, but I'm trying to make the time these days to do the things I love like riding, and writing on this blog. Horse News :  Well, Malibu got to go to the trainer for a month and a half and it was the best decision I think I have made with her. The trainer I sent her to exposes them to a lot and I was told there is always a lot going on around her house. So with Malibu being a little weird about certain things, I thought why not give it a try. So Jill got her to be softer for the first week or so before starting anything barrel related, then to the barrels they went! She was trotting a really nice pattern when I figured I would leave her until she was loping a nice pattern. So I picked Malibu up, and since then I've been continuing getting her confident with loping, and she has been doing awesome with it.
