Next adventure!

So we've been home a few weeks and have recouped from Tennessee, but now it's time we go ride! Today I grab my truck and trailer and head to my farm down in Grand Ridge, Florida. From there me, my aunt, and a bunch of our friends are headed to the Coldwater Equestrian Camp in Milton, Florida! We visited there about two years ago on a spring break of mine and it was nice, but a little too warm being it was in March. So now we try November and I get to bring along my trusty Appy. I have a few photos from that trip two years ago but I'm going to be honest here, they are terrible quality and I'd much rather get new photos this weekend with my Nikon. After re-visiting this campsite for a second time, I will recommend this place to anyone. They have a very nice setup for horses. It is so accommodating. Since I was there two years ago, they have made the campsites much neater and nicer, and every campsite comes with a picnic table and fire pit. The horses can be put in a fully enclosed barn, or you can choose for them to be in a nice paddock, or in a covered stall barn. This year we chose the covered stalls. They were very nice and even came with hooks for water and feed buckets. From our campsite, we could also keep our eye on the horses at all times. Here are some photos of the horse accommodations. As far as the riding goes, we only had about a day and a half to cover some trails, but they were very nice, open trails. A little about where we're going next... The Heart of Dixie (Troy, Alabama)

So as you all know, I am very much into trail riding. That is, and will always be, my favorite thing to do with my horses. Well, every year for the weekend of New Years, my aunt and all of our friends from Florida meet up at the Heart of Dixie Trail Ride in Troy, Alabama. Do not take this lightly when I say this is my FAVORITE place to ride of all time in the south (and I've been to a lot of places). They have around 1,000 acres with 35 miles of trails! I had been riding there for years with my family, so last year when I bought Patch, there was no question where he was going to be staying. I boarded him at their facility and got to know everyone who worked there. They are some of the most kind people I've ever met, and they have awesome paddocks, barns, and fields for the horses. When camping there, you can choose between a paddock, which can hold 3 horses, or you can choose a covered or uncovered stall for them.
